On Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in Toledo, OH, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists will hold a new “hands on lab experience” on liquid foundation emulsion technology.

This course will interest those who are entering the cosmetic industry and would like to get exposure to the theory and practical aspects of liquid foundation emulsions. The course will also be relevant to the more seasoned cosmetic chemist who may be moving from another product area to the world of color. Finally, those involved in the development and marketing of ingredients used in liquid foundation emulsions will benefit greatly from the lecture and lab portions, said SCC.

Limited to just 24 participants, the experience includes a lecture on Sept. 30 from 9am-4pm at the Radisson Hotel at the University of Toledo, followed by a lab session on Oct. 1 a the University of Toledo Health Sciences Campus.

Laboratory exercises will include water-in-silicone foundations. water-in-oil foundations, oil-in water foundations and product evaluations.
